The 'Life-on-Mars' Ford Cortina 2000E has been bought by a fan of the show.The series featured Jon Simm as a policeman transported back to 1973 battling with the unreconstructed Gene Hunt, played by Philip Glenister.
Paul Shedden paid £10,000 for the car after it was put up for sale on Ebay, complete with scripts and a police rule-book from 1973. The Cortina has only clocked up 67,000 miles.
